Best NGOs 2023

Idesam was selected as one of the 100 Best NGOs in Brazil at an awards ceremony organised by the Doar Institute.


Jaraqui Graúdo Award 2022

Amaz and PPbio, initiatives by Idesam, won the “Accelerator” and “Start-up Programme” awards, respectively.

Mariano Cenamo, co-founder of Idesam and CEO of Amaz, won the Social Entrepreneur award in the Environmental Innovation category.

Idesam received the Certificate of Principles of Transparency and Good Practice, attesting that the institute makes good use of donated funds.




100 Climate Innovators

Mariano Cenamo was recognised as one of the 100 climate innovators by Época Negócios magazine.




Jaraqui Graúdo Award 2020

The PPA, coordinated by Idesam, was a finalist in the award to select the most influential players in the digital landscape of Amazonas.




Best NGOs 2020

Idesam received the awards for Best NGO in the Northern Region and Best Environmental NGO at an awards ceremony organised by the Doar Institute.





Phomenta Certification 2018

Idesam received the Certificate of Principles of Transparency and Good Practice, attesting that the institute will make good use of donated funds.




Creating Shared Value Award 2018

Idesam was a finalist for the award with the Agroforestry Coffee Project, being the highest-ranked Brazilian initiative.





2017 Environmental Challenge

Organised by WWF Brazil, the competition selected the Idesam Carbon Neutral Programme as one of the best Brazilian projects.




FBB Social Technologies Bank 2017

The Idesam Carbon Neutral Programme was certified as a social technology recognised by the FBB and became part of the organisation’s platform.





CMDRS Recognition 2017

In an official letter, the CMDRS of Apuí recognised the merit of Idesam’s work in the fight for forest conservation in the south of the State of Amazonas





Best NGOs 2017

Idesam was ranked as one of the 100 best NGOs in the country, based on criteria such as Transparency and Communication.





Honour of Merit 2017

Idesam received an honour from Caama/Aleam during Environment Week.




2016 Amazon Biome Environmental Management Award

Three Idesam initiatives were shortlisted for the Environmental Management Award organised by Ibam – the Brazilian Institute of Municipal Administration.





Good ATER Practices 2015

MDA, Incra and Anater, the Coffee in Agroforestry Project received the award and contributed to a publication on best practices.





Honour of Merit 2015

To mark its 10th anniversary, Idesam was honoured with the Award of Merit, granted by the ALEAM Environment Committee.




VCS Verification Certificate 2013

The certificate confirms that the Suruí Forest Carbon Project meets the requirements of the Verified Carbon Standards.

The validation certificate also relates to the Suruí Forest Carbon Project, confirming compliance with VCS standards.





Environmental Merit Award 2012

Following its work in the Uatumã RDS, Idesam received the Environmental Merit Award from the Brazilian Institute for the Defence of Nature.





Greenbest Award 2012

Organised by the Greenvana Foundation, the competition recognised the country’s leading environmental NGOs, with Idesam being a finalist.





CCBA Gold Validation 2008

The Juma REDD Project, whose technical proposal was drawn up by Idesam, received Gold validation from the CCBA.

Benchimol Award

The Apuí Mais Verde Project, conceived by Idesam, took first place in the environmental category awarded by MDIC and Basa.
