New brand intends to show the variety of the institute’s fields of action

In alignment with its desire to remain in constant evolution, Idesam has a new face and introduces its new visual identity to the world. Designed to reflect the plurality of its actions throughout the Amazon, the new brand was produced in partnership with the award-winning graphic design company FutureBrand and can now be checked out on all the institute’s social networks on the Internet.

The change is part of a process of resignifying the image of Idesam, which continues its more than 15 years of work for the conservation of the Amazon, with the expansion of its activities to promote initiatives in Bioeconomy and Science & Technology.

Paola Bleicker, Idesam’s executive director, explains that when the rebranding process began, the idea was to get closer to the institute’s current reality, with the concept of a leaner and at the same time modern brand.

“To remove the full name, for example, was not simply a matter of space, but it shows the ‘space’ that we have conquered in society in these 15 years, of a consolidated brand that brings with it innovation allied to the promotion of a forest economy. Our goal has not changed, our values have not changed, but our vision, yes”, Bleicker highlights.

For Idesam’s designer, Vânia Dias, one of the main challenges of the new visual identity was to communicate the variety of the institute’s fields of action both for those who already know its work and for those who don’t yet. Dias, who followed the process of creating the new brand, believes that the goal was achieved.

“This turning point comes to show that Idesam is much more than what people assume it is. It shows you really need to look closely to know everything Idesam has done in these 15 years and how much it still has to offer in the future”, Dias says.
