New pathways for the development of Amazonian production chains are being created, and milestones demonstrate this. One such initiative is undoubtedly the Priority Bioeconomy Program (PPBio), coordinated by Idesam since its creation by the Federal Government (CAPDA/SUFRAMA) in 2019. PPBio directs public-private investment from companies in the Manaus Industrial Hub to generate solutions and add value to Amazonian sociobiodiversity. It also fosters the economy alongside nature conservation in different territories, alongside traditional communities and their knowledge, resolving the region’s classic production bottlenecks.
