The Idesam Carbon Neutral Programme (PCN) was launched in 2010 with the aim of connecting major urban centres to forests, enabling people, companies and initiatives to take responsibility for the impacts they have on the planet by offsetting
their greenhouse gas emissions (GHG).
Neutralisation is achieved by planting native trees in Agroforestry Systems (SAF), a method that prioritises species of economic value to the communities of the Uatumã Sustainable Development Reserve (RDS) in Amazonas.
The PCN’s working methodology has already been recognised by various
initiatives and is now part of the FBB’s Social Technologies Bank.
